PGM gives donation from Mark Welfare Fund to Sea Scouts in Leigh on Sea
On 11th September 2015, it was with great pleasure that the Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Terry Sheern, made a presentation of £700 to Robyn Langdon, Scout Leader of 4th/6th Leigh Scout Troop to assist the Scouts with their activities.
The donation will be used to purchase radio equipment and associated training courses so that their water based activities can be carried out with greater safety and over greater distances. The presentation took place at the Scout HQ in Old Leigh. Also present was Bro. Graham Lucas, Mark Lodge of Love & Remembrance, through whom the donation had been applied for.
The Mark Welfare Fund is committed to assisting local charities as well as Masons and the their families in need. Details of the Fund and how to access it are to be found on the Information tab. Applications are welcomed and all will be considered on their individual and respective merits.
Lodges and members are encouraged to make donations to this Essex Fund whenever possible so that charity monies can be disbursed where needed. Remember--"He who gives quickly, gives twice!"
