Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Degrees Awareness Evening
One of the new initiatives mentioned by the PGM at Felsted in May, was a series of awareness evenings for the Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Degrees. The first of such events was held on Friday 31st July at the Chingford Masonic Hall.
The meeting was a tremendous success with the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W. Bro. Richard Bowyer, giving a presentation on both the Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Degrees both to Active and experienced Mark brethren and, most importantly, to a significant number of Craft masons yet to experience the enjoyment of the Mark Degree. The presentation included an explanation of the layout of each temple and the respective regalia.
APGM, Roger Wacey also distributed a brochure for the evening and added a number of interesting points to the event. The evening, having started at 6.30, concluded at 7.45 pm after an informative question and answer session.
The DPGM would like to thank members of Chingford; Fillebrook; Royal Oak Tree; Boleyn Castle; Craftsmen of Walden; Easterford and Dunmow Mark Lodges for their invaluable assistance on the evening.
Of the Craft attendees a number were very interested and appreciative of the evening and the Mark Degree and two brethren
have already signed application forms and will be Advanced into Chingford Lodge in March 2016.
A number of additional events are planned, keep your eyes posted on this site and keep reminding fellow Craft Masons that there is life after the Third and The Royal Arch!
