50th Anniversary Celebration

Potters Clay Lodge No.1399 celebrated their 50th anniversary on Tuesday 29th of November 2022 in the presence of the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Terence D Sheern accompanied by 18 Provincial Officers.
The evening commenced with the Potter Clay Lodge of Royal Ark Mariner’s when the Worshipful Commander, W.Bro. Steve Adnitt performed the Ceremony and Elevated Bro.Mike Newley as a Royal Ark Mariner with W. Bro. Colin Kendrick, Prov.Asst.G.Sec. acting as one of the Wardens.

The Mark meeting then followed with the Provincial Grand Master accepting the Chair to introduce his team particularly the Provincial Grand Chaplain who presented an interesting and enjoyable oration of the Lodge history.

Following this, the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Bill Becker resumed the chair and proceeded to install his successor W. Bro. Steve Adnitt, with the Provincial Grand Master concluding the ceremony with the Address to the Brethren. He then presented the 50-year Anniversary Warrant to the Lodge and in return received the generous donation of £1500 towards the MBF Festival 2030.
Letters of congratulation were then read from the first Worshipful Master and remaining founder, W. Bro. Eric Parish, together with one from W. Bro. Clive Dunnico, as the only surviving member of the consecration team.
The Festive Board then enjoyed the same meal as at the consecration 50 years ago.
